Qui, viene richiesto all'atleta di superare con un salto, una asticella posizionata ad una data altezza.
Questa asticella, è tenuta in sospensione da due supporti chiamati appunto ritti.
I ritti, possono essere realizzati in acciaio, o in alluminio ed avere regolazioni su differenti altezze, a seconda della categoria alla quale sono destinati (allenamento, gara, olimpionici)
Questo modello, perfetto per l'allenamento, permette la regolazione dell'asticella segnalimite da un minimo di 30, ad un massimo di 220 cm, una misura tutt'altro che "ridotta".
